Writing 101: A review of writing fundamentals for students who want to raise their SAT/ACT score and make A's in high school or college
Good writing informs, persuades, and inspires its audience. It can make us laugh out loud. It can challenge our hearts and our minds. But it takes training to develop these abilities. In four classes, this workshop lays the foundations for effective writing in both high school and college. We will investigate everything from formulating a thesis to writing clear sentences. In a small class setting, we'll explore the elements of good writing together. We'll create brief compositions, and then edit, revise, and discuss them. You'll return to school ready to tackle any writing project.
