College Counseling Service Fees

Description

After you speak with one of our service representatives and confirm the desired counseling service, you can pay the college counseling non-refundable deposit or the full fee. If you choose to pay the non-refundable deposit, then the payment balance will be due within 30 days.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• The client reserves the right to terminate the college counseling service agreement and request a refund according to the below described terms & conditions. Likewise, if the director’s of The Secret to Writing, LLC do not believe the client will benefit from the college counseling services, The Secret to Writing, LLC reserves the right to cancel the college counseling service agreement and provide a refund to the client according to the below described terms & conditions.
• A request for a refund must be made in writing and forwarded to The Secret to Writing, LLC.
• The client’s deposit of $2,000 is non-refundable.
• The balance of payment, i.e., the original payment amount minus the deposit, is used to calculate the refund.
• The client is billed at a pro-rated refund amount of $350 per hour. The time expended on the college counseling engagement and thereby the expense associated with the college counseling engagement is based on the company’s timekeeping.
• Refunds are paid 60 days after November 30th, the end date of the contracted service period.
• For illustrative purposes, if a client pays a college counseling fee of $10,000 and a member(s) of The Secret to Writing, LLC’s staff works five hours on the college counseling engagement, then the client’s refund will be calculated as follows:
• The $2,000 non-refundable fee will be automatically deducted from the $10,000 deposit, leaving an account balance of $8,000.
• The calculated time extended and consequent expense associated with the client engagement will be subtracted from the $8,000. In this case, the service time equals five hours; and thus, five multiplied by $350 per hour equals an accrued service fee of $1,750.
• The $1,750 is subtracted from the $8,000, leaving a refund amount of $6,250.
• The $6,250 refund will be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service to the client 60 days after the conclusion of the college counseling service period.
